Steps

Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.

  1. Cut the webfoot octopus into bite-size pieces. Blanch the shelled clams in water, remove the moisture, remove the fishy smell with ginger syrup, and stir-fry.
  2. Season the beef and chicken breast separately.
  3. Julienne the onion, green chili pepper, red chili pepper and carrot and stir-fry together.
  4. Toss the stir-fried vegetables, meat and seafood with the seasoning sauce.
  5. Finely julienne the water dropwort and pear and place on top to finish.
💡 TipWater dropwort, which gives a refreshing taste, adds flavor and aroma and removes the fishy smell of the seafood. Garlic oil boosts aroma and richness, and flavored soy sauce is used to make a japchae that is not salty.
