Steps

Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.

  1. Cut the sausage into bite-sized pieces and skewer it on the wooden sticks.
  2. Finely chop the bell pepper.
  3. Mix the mashed potato evenly with the prepared rice.
  4. Mix the mashed potato again with the prepared rice and a little salt.
  5. When the rice and potato are well mixed, add the chopped bell pepper and mix.
  6. Lightly dust the sticks with flour, wrap the dough (5) around the sausage and shape it round by hand, coat in flour, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs in that order, deep-fry in oil at 170 C for about 2 minutes, and drain the oil to finish.
💡 TipUsing potato, rice, and bell pepper instead of a flour batter reduces sodium and makes a nutritious snack for children.
