Steps

Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.

  1. Wash the radish and cut into 1 cm x 4 cm x 0.3 cm pieces (nabak style).
  2. Remove the vein along the back of the shrimp.
  3. Gently shake the deveined shrimp in salted water to wash them.
  4. Put the radish and shrimp in a steamer with rising steam and steam together.
  5. Peel the steamed shrimp and cut in half.
  6. Toss the radish with the green onion, minced garlic, gochugaru, soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and sesame seeds, then add the shrimp from step 5 and mix.
💡 TipHold the shrimp body in one hand and twist the head off lightly; the vein sometimes comes out with it, but if not, insert a toothpick through the back and remove the thread-like black vein.
