Steps

Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.

  1. Boil the broth ingredients and strain through a sieve to make the broth.
  2. Cut the squid body into large pieces and slice the legs thin.
  3. Cut the tofu and mushrooms into bite-size pieces, slice the chili pepper on the diagonal, cut the sweet potato into bite-size pieces, and trim the soybean sprouts.
  4. Cut the kimchi into bite-size pieces, stir-fry in a pot with sesame oil, then add the sweet potato, soybean sprouts and broth and boil.
  5. When it is simmering with a little liquid, add the squid and boil; when the squid is cooked, add the ground perilla seeds and boil.
  6. Add the tofu, enoki mushrooms, crown daisy, sweet potato and red chili pepper and boil to finish.
💡 TipThe filling is scraped off the kimchi to reduce salt, and only the kimchi's own seasoning is used to reduce sodium intake.
