Steps

Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.

  1. Finely chop the onion and perilla leaves, and wash the cocktail shrimp clean and finely chop them.
  2. Mix the chopped onion, perilla leaves, and shrimp with the seasonings and knead to make the shrimp mixture.
  3. Briefly dip the rice paper in hot water (4 cups), then remove it and place it on a cutting board brushed with cooking oil.
  4. Put the shrimp mixture in a zip-top bag, snip off the corner with scissors, pipe the mixture onto the rice paper, and roll it up to make a shrimp sausage.
  5. Heat a pan over medium heat with cooking oil, add the shrimp sausages, and cook until golden and the outside turns white.
  6. Put on a plate and brush the garlic sauce on top to finish.
💡 Tip- Instead of flour, we used potato starch, which is low in sodium and rich in potassium. - Spices and lemon juice instead of salt bring out the flavor. - A small amount of oligosaccharide syrup instead of sugar or honey adds sweetness while lowering calories.
